IRA or Other Retirement Fund
Many people choose to include us on the beneficiary form of their IRA or other retirement fund. Retirement funds are some of the most heavily taxed estate assets and often the best asset to give to charity.
It’s easy. You fill out a beneficiary designation form to direct all or a percentage (or a dollar amount) of what remains of your retirement account upon death to Navos, or the Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center, or Seattle Children’s Home Programs of Navos.
The custodian that manages your retirement fund can provide you with a beneficiary designation form, which may even be on the custodian’s website, making the process potentially as easy as just a few clicks on your computer. (This way, you can create a gift without re-doing your will.)
To designate a gift to us through your retirement asset, all you need is our legal name, tax identification number and address, which is:
MultiCare Foundations d/b/a MultiCare Behavioral Health Foundation fbo Navos
Tax ID: 91-1514257
PO Box 5296
1313-3-FND
Tacoma, WA 98415
Often account custodians do not share with us the details of which program you’d like your gift to support. If you are interested in supporting a specific program or fund like the Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center or the Seattle Children’s Home Programs of Navos, please let us know so we may document in our files how to direct your gift once it is received. We can be reached directly at Alice Braverman (206.933.7032) or Lisa Pacini (206.933.7248).
Life Insurance Policy
You can make a gift of a new or existing policy, which results in a current income tax deduction, or add Navos, or the Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center, or Seattle Children’s Home Programs of Navos, as a beneficiary of a policy. It is usually a simple process to make us the owner of a policy or change a policy’s beneficiary designation.

Bank or Brokerage Accounts
It is very easy to fill out and sign “Pay on Death” (POD) instructions or “Transfer on Death” (TOD) instructions to include us as a beneficiary. Your banker or broker will inform you of procedures to complete your arrangement.
Savings Bonds
Many people purchased savings bonds years ago, but fear the tax consequences when surrendering them. You can make a gift of your bonds through your will. You can also cash in your savings bonds, donate some or all the cash proceeds and receive a charitable tax deduction to offset the tax you owe.
To learn more about any of these gifts or other ways to support the Navos programs you care about, please contact us today at Alice Braverman (206.933.7032) or Lisa Pacini (206.933.7248).
